The panel looked specifically for programs and projects that stood out as innovative within their area of service and showed past or expected impact in the stated areas of focus.
The following agencies were awarded grants this year:
AIDS Legal Council, Alexian Brothers/Bonaventure House, Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago (Center for Gender, Sexuality and HIV Prevention), Chicago House, Northwestern University IMPACT ( The LGBT Health and Development Program ), Open Door Clinic, University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital ( Care2Prevent ), Vital Bridges, Youth Outlook and VIDA/SIDA.
DIFFA/Chicago also announced the continued funding of the DIFFA/Chicago Fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. BMO Harris Bank presented the fellowship.
