Chicago Art Source
Michelle Ruiz is a Project Manager for Chicago Art Source, where she specializes in curating art collections for market segments such as healthcare, corporate, hospitality, and residential clients.
Ruiz has a national reach within the fine art industry. She attends a number of national art fairs and also visits galleries and artist studios to view works in person. Her mission during these visits is to build strong working relationships with fine artists and successfully match their artwork to collectors. Ruiz works closely with art consultants, collectors, and interior designers to bring their vision to fruition by carefully curating art collections for their spaces.
Civic engagement through the arts and board service is equally important to Ruiz. She is an advocate for the arts and promotes cultural inclusivity through grassroots art programing and local non-profit involvement. She currently serves as the Curatorial Director and Board Member for the Berwyn Public Art Initiative. This initiative is a community-driven effort that brings together businesses, building owners, artists, and community organizations to install murals, sculptural objects, and pop-up galleries in the Berwyn neighborhood. Ruiz has also served as a board member on the following organizations: Parish Peace Project, Berwyn Arts Council, and as Morton College Student Trustee.
